These Notes are part of the overall NSCB efforts to enhance the transparency in the compilation and to improve the quality of official statistics in the Philippines.  This particular series of the Notes is a compilation of the major issues and limitations on the current official poverty estimation methodology together with the official clarifications of NSCB.  It also discusses the development of the provincial poverty methodology, current developments and future work to be undertaken.
