Services, prime driver of GDP growth

For the first quarter 2012, the Services subsectors posted relatively balanced growths, with the fastest growths coming from the following: Other Services, 10.5 percent; Transport, Storage and Communication, 9.0 percent; Trade, 8.9 percent; Financial Intermediation, 8.8 percent; and, RERBA, 7.9 percent, which now includes Business Process Outsourcing (BPO).

The only exclusion is Public Administration and Defense grew only by 1.5 percent.
