Third Quarter 2003
Gross National Product & Gross Domestic Product

Details of Factor Flows From and To The Rest of the World

Providing the much-needed boost to the economy is the Net Factor Income from Abroad (NFIA) with its robust growth of 28.4 percent from a negative growth of 6.2 percent a year ago. The compensation inflow managed to increase by 5.0 percent as a result of the close to 6.0 percent increase in the $-P conversion, in spite of a minimal increase in the stock of OFWs. Together with the substantial reduction in property expense by 19.9 percent and the rise in property income by 28.9 percent, this translated to the higher net factor income flows in the third quarter of the year.
