Special Tables on Tourism Statistics

Travel and tourism in the world is one of the “paradigm service industries” to drive the 21st century service-led economies and is projected to create 100 million new jobs across the world economy between 1997 and 2007 (WTTC Report).

Tourism boosts the national as well as the local economy. It has become a source of foreign exchange receipts, livelihood and employment opportunities for the region. Updated information on the industry are therefore essential in tourism development planning and the orchestration of campaigns aimed at promoting and strengthening the region as a tourist hideaway.

The special tables on tourism statistics are the following:

  • Visitor Arrivals by Country of Origin
  • Visitor Arrivals by Type of Tourists by Quarter
  • Number of Hotels and Hotel Rooms by Classification
  • Average Length of Stay of Guests in Accommodation Facilities (Baguio City only)
  • Average Occupancy Rate of Accommodation Facilities

Click on the drop-down menu on the right navigation panel to load the statistical tables for the region or for a specific province/city.
