Unemployment Rate in CAR rises to 6.0% in April 2010

Results from the latest Labor Force Survey of the National Statistics Office reveal that the unemployment rate in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) rose to 6.0 percent in April 2010 from 4.2 percent in April 2009. Likewise, the proportion of underemployed or those who have jobs but wanting more work  increased to 18.9 percent in April 2010.

The Labor Force Participation Rate in CAR was estimated at 67.9 percent in April 2010 compared to 67.4 percent posted in April 2009.
