Unemployment Rate in CAR rises to 5.0% in January 2010

Results from the latest Labor Force Survey of the National Statistics Office reveal that the unemployment rate in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) rose to 5.0 percent in January 2010 from 4.3 percent in January 2009. The percentage of underemployed or those who have jobs but wanting more work  declined to 17.3 percent in January 2009.

The Labor Force Participation Rate in CAR was estimated at 68.0 percent in January 2009 compared to 66.9 percent posted in January last year.
