The results of the 2008 National Demographic
and Health Survey (NDHS) reveal that there was a decline by 7.3
percentage points in the use of any modern family planning method by
married women in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR). Modern
contraceptive use among women in CAR declined from 46.3 percent in 2003
to only 39.0 percent in 2008. The National Statistics Office
conducts the NDHS every 5 years.
