... CAR recorded the highest casualties during typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng?
As of 5 November 2009, data from the National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC) reveal that CAR incurred a total of 384 casualties that comprised of 350 deaths and 34 missing - the highest among the Luzon regions hit by typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng. The tallies constitute 37.67% and 40.48% of the total Luzonwide deaths and persons missing, respectively. NCR follows with 241 deaths and Region IV-A with 160 deaths and 20 missing.
