Zamboanga Peninsula's Unemployment Rate Placed at 3.4% in October 2008

  Labor Force Data released by the National Statistics Office  (NSO) revealed that for October 2008, the unemployment rate of Zamboanga Peninsula was placed at 3.4.%, showing a  slight increase from 2.9% last year.

Across regions, Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao had the lowest unemployment rate at 2.2 percent, it is followed by Zamboanga Peninsula and the MIMAROPA Region with unemployment rates at 3.4 percent. However, the National Capital Region had the highest unemployment rate at 12.8 percent, this is a significant declination from the last year’s10.6 percent.
