Inflation rate up to 8.6% in February 2008

Year-on-year headline inflation rate at Zamboanga Peninsula moved upward to 8.6 percent in February 2008 from a revised 8.5 percent in January 2008.  This was effected by the higher upward movements in the rates of all the commodity groups except for Food, Beverages and Tobacco. Inflation a year ago was 3.1 percent.
