The Zamboanga Peninsula inflation rate in April  2011 slightly improved to 5.0 percent from  5.4 percent in April 2011. This was due to the significant decrease in the inflation rate of Fuel, Light, and Water by about 4.7 percentage points from 6.0 percent in April. However, Housing and Repairs, and Services slightly increased by 0.1 percentage point from 1.4 percent and 6.1 percent, respectively. May consumer price index was recorded at 177.8.
