The region’s year-on-year inflation slightly increased to 6.6 percent in August from 6.5 percent in July. It resulted from the increase in housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels; transport; and recreation and culture. However, the indices of food and non-alcoholic beverages index, alcoholic beverages and tobacco; and clothing and footwear slowed down.
