The Zamboanga Peninsula inflation rate in April  2011 slightly improved to 5.4 percent from  5.5 percent in March 2011. This was due to the slight decrease in the inflation rate of Food Beverages and Tobacco, and Fuel, Light, and Water by about 0.3 percentage point and 0.2 percentage point from 6.7 percent and 6.2 percent in March, respectively. However, Services slightly increase by 1.1 percentage point from 5.0 percent in March. April consumer price index was recorded at 177.5.
