The Zamboanga Peninsula inflation rate in September 2010 dropped to 2.8 percent from  3.2 percent in August 2010. This was due to the significant decrease in the inflation rate of Fuel, Light and Water by 5.4 percentage points, Services by 0.5 percentage point, and Clothing by 0.2 percentage point. Housing and Repairs, and Miscellaneous items remained stable at 0.3 percent and 1.4 percent respectively. Food, Beverage and Tobacco, however, slightly increased by 0.1 percentage point. September consumer price index was recorded at 169.3.
