The Zamboanga Peninsula inflation rate in October 2010 accelerated to 3.3 percent from  2.8 percent in September 2010. This was due to the significant increase in the inflation rate of Fuel, Light and Water by 3.5 percentage points, Services by 0.7 percentage point, Food, Beverage and Tobacco by 0.3 percentage point and Housing and Repairs by 0.2 percentage point . Clothing and Miscellaneous items slightly decreased by 0.4 percentage point and 0.3 percentage point respectively. October consumer price index was recorded at 169.3.
