The Zamboanga Peninsula inflation rate in December 2010 slightly accelerated to 2.5 percent from  2.2 percent in November 2010. This was due to the slight increase in the inflation rate of Fuel, Light and Water by 0.6 percentage point, Food, Beverage and Tobacco by 0.4 percentage point,   and  Miscellaneous items by 0.1 percentage point.  December consumer price index was recorded at 170.2.
