NSCB IX Releases the 2008 Women and Men in Region IX

In line with the celebration of International Women’s Month, the National Statistical Coordination Board – Regional Division IX (NSCB-RD IX) releases the Women and Men (WAM) in Zamboanga Peninsula Statistical Handbook.

The celebration of Women's Month is promulgated under Proclamation No. 224, otherwise known as the law declaring “the First Week of March of Every Year as Women's Week and March 8 Every Year Thereafter as Women's Rights and International Peace Day" signed by former President Corazon C. Aquino on March 1, 1988.

The Women and Men (WAM) in Zamboanga Peninsula Statistical Handbook contains relevant statistical information of selected indicators disaggregated by sex. Selected indicators include population and families, labor and employment, agriculture and agrarian reform, education and literacy, health and nutrition, social welfare, public life, peace and order.
