GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION
Western Mindanao is situated in the southern-most portion of the country. It is the smallest region in Mindanao with a total land area of only 15.997.3 square kilometers. Its vast water span is dotted with a unique chain of 958 dispersed islands and islets of which 67 are larger than 1.6 square kilometers.
