The region’s year-on-year inflation
slightly decreased to 6.3 percent in
December 2011 from 6.5 percent in November 2011. It resulted from the
decrease in transport from 9.7 percent to 9.1 percent, food and non
alcoholic beverages from 10.2 percent to 9.7 percent, and recreation
and culture from 2.2 percent to 2.0 percent. However, housing, water, electricity, gas
and other fuels increased to 0.1 percent in December from -0.6
percent in November, clothing and footwear increased to 3.0 percent
from 2.5 percent, and alcoholic beverages and tobacco increased to
8.9 percent from 8.5 percent.
December 2011 consumer price index was recorded at 134.0 higher than
the November 2011 price index at 133.8.
