ISI Call for Papers: 2009 Jan Tinbergen Awards

The International Statistical Institute (ISI) invites all young statisticians to present a paper for the 2009 Jan Tinbergen Awards, a Competition for Young Statisticians in Developing Countries.  Three best papers will be selected wherein authors of winning papers will be invited to present at the 57^th Session of the ISI on August 16-22, 2009 at Durban, South Africa.

 Interested parties are instructed to submit/email accomplished Application Form together with the manuscript to isi@cbs.nl with the “Jan Tinbergen Awards” subject.  Deadline for submission of entries is on January 1, 2009.

EV Joins National ICT Month Celebration

Eastern Visayas is joining the celebration of the National Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Month this June with the theme, “Speeding-up Human Resources’ e-Knowledge and Skills Part II”.  The celebration starts with the hanging of ICT Month streamers by participating agencies on June 9.  A motorcade around Tacloban City’s main streets will be conducted on June 23, followed by an Opening Program at the Leyte SMED Center Conference Room and the launching of the ICT Fiesta Expo 2008.
