STATNews 1st RSCC Regular Meeting Conducted The
1st Regular Meeting of the Regional Statistical Coordination
Committee (RSCC) for Eastern Visayas was successfully conducted last March
30, 2006 at NEDA Regional Office No. 8, Government Center, Palo, Leyte.
The
Committee passed four (4) resolutions:
(1) Approving the Policy Agenda of RSCC VIII for CY 2006; (2)
Requesting the NSCB, through its Technical Committee on Population and
Housing Statistics, to Immediately Release the 2000 Census-Based
City/Municipal Population Projections; (3) Requesting NSO to Generate
Labor and Employment Statistics by Province and City/Municipality; and (4)
Enjoining Concerned Business/Private Organizations to Support the Conduct
of the 2005 ASPBI. Other
agenda items were presentations on the following for information: (1)
Status of the Conduct of 2006 Census of Population; (2) Municipal Poverty
Incidence, 2000; (3) Poverty Incidence of Basic Sectors, 2000; (4)
Vulnerability to Poverty, 1997; and (5) 2003-2004 Provincial Poverty and
Food Thresholds. Archive
