In line with our commitment to provide relevant and more disaggregated statistics at the local levels, the NSCB, through the Regional Division 8 (RD8), releases the First Edition of The Countryside in Figures: Leyte.  

The first of its kind in the Province of Leyte, the publication features municipal data on various sectors, such as general information, governance, income and expenditures, labor and employment, agriculture, education, health, transportation and communication, and public order and safety.  

It also presents ranking of the forty-one (41) municipalities of the province based on their performance.  The data can be used in planning, decision making, and in policy setting towards effective governance and public service at the local level. 

The Countryside in Figures: Leyte (First Edition 2005) was made possible through the assistance of the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) of Leyte and the various data producing agencies.
