On the other hand, Ms. Riza N. Moraleta, SCO II of NSCB, presented the Poverty Mapping Concepts and Methodology and the preliminary poverty maps of Biliran. The participants gained insights on the poverty situation of Biliran and its municipalities through the poverty maps, however, some issues were raised regarding the completeness and reliability of the municipal data used. During a conversation with Governor Rogelio J. Espina, he said that he is very interested in conducting an MBN survey this year incorporating some economic and agriculture-related indicators. He also added that a baseline survey like this would significantly reflect the actual condition of the different municipalities in the province.
