HIC Conducts Forum on MDGs

In line with the celebration of the 18^th National Statistics Month (NSM) this October, the Holy Infant College (HIC), a premiere private college in Tacloban City, conducted a Forum on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) last October 10, 2007 at the college auditorium. 

Resource Speaker was Ms. Evangeline M. Paran, Regional Head of the National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB),  who presented a Report on the Attainment of the MDGs in Eastern Visayas.  The topic was anchored on the theme, “Statistics and Action: A Road to a Better Life Through the MDGs”. 

There was a captive audience of around 300 students of the HIC and faculty members who were given the chance to ask questions during the Open Forum.   

The forum was immediately followed by a Closing Ceremony, wherein the winners of the Statistics Quiz held in the morning of the same day were awarded their prizes. 

The activity was also graced by the School President, Sr. M. Carmela Cabactulan, who gave the Closing Message.
