STATNews NSCB Releases Countryside in Figures: Biliran The National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB) Regional Division 8 announces the release of the First Edition of The Countryside in Figures: Biliran in CD-ROM. The publication is the first of its kind in the Province of Biliran, patterned after the Philippine Countryside in Figures and The Countryside in Figures: Eastern Samar and Leyte. It provides provincial data and municipal disaggregation of statistics wherever available on various sectors, such as general information, governance, income and expenditures, labor and employment, agriculture, education, health, transportation and communication, energy, and public order and safety. The 8 municipalities of the province have been ranked based on their performance as basis in comparing conditions of the municipalities in different areas of interests which can be used in planning, decision making, and in policy setting towards effective governance and public service at the local level. The Countryside in Figures: Biliran in CD-ROM is already available at the National Statistical Information Center (NSIC), Eastern Visayas Branch at the NSCB RD8 Office located at G/F Calzita Building, P.
