The Publication Contents and Uses
Contains information on what statistical data are available in
government and the levels of disaggregation and frequency of data, the
agency generating the data as well as the contact person in the source
agency serving as a useful guide to data users in sourcing their
required statistical data.
Classifies statistics available in government into several sectors,
namely: Economic accounts; agriculture and agrarian reform; science and
technology; environment and natural resources; prices; industry, trade
and tourism; infrastructure; finance; labor, expenditure and income;
population; housing; education and manpower development; health and
nutrition; social welfare and community development; and public order,
safety and justice.
An introductory part discusses the coverage of each sector and the
major data sources while the main tables indicate (1) the agency
producing the data or data source; (2) the statistical series/statistics
being produced; (3) level of disaggregation; (4) frequency of the
series; (5) time lag/date of availability; (6) mode of dissemination;
and (7) unit within the source agency to be contacted.
