Press Release BICOL REGION STATISTICS NOW ONLINE
The database
contains a comprehensive compilation of multi-sectoral data about the
region and its component provinces, cities and municipalities presented in
time series. The data are useful in making decisions and setting policies,
development planning as well as in the formulation and implementation of
programs and projects towards effective governance and public service
delivery at the local level. Likewise, this is also intended to provide
local business entrepreneurs and other investors with data useful in
making marketing plans, decisions and strategies. |

The i-Stats currently contains databases consisting of different economic and social sectors with more than 100 datasets. With its interactive capability, users are able to select part of the datasets according to their needs and derived tables can be saved in the preferred file formats. The following sectors are available in the database:
The i-Stats is one of the services being offered by the NSCB on the internet in line with its continuing commitment to facilitate access to the products of the Philippine Statistical System by as wide a range of clientele as possible. The database uses the PC-AXIS software which was developed by Statistics Sweden. Statistics Sweden has authorized the NSCB to use the software in packaging and disseminating statistics in the Philippines. The cost of the software license was funded by the Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) as part of the National Statistical Information Center Project of the NSCB. The databases can be accessed at its website (www.nscb.gov.ph/ru5) on a subscription scheme. A FREE TOUR is available to provide a preview to users on the contents and capabilities of the databases.
