The updated plan shall give priority to the rehabilitation of the region's infrastructure facilities and establishment of a disaster management system consistent with the Regional Physical Framework Plan.

It shall also pursue development of tourism and implementation of tourism infrastructure projects consistent with the role of Central Philippines in national development.

The plan updating process will commence in April and the draft updated plan will be presented to the six provinces and to the RDC in December for approval.
