Minutes of the Regular Meeting of the
RESOLUTION NO. 04-98 A SUPPLEMENT TO RESOLUTION NO. 01-98 WHEREAS, Resolution No. 01-98 passed on May 27, 1998 created a Task Force on Health, Environment and Social Services statistics; WHEREAS, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), a member in the technical working group on social services sector was inadvertently abbreviated as DOH; WHEREAS,
the Department of Health (DOH) is one of the agencies mandated in the
efficient delivery of social services particularly on health; |

WHEREAS, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Department of Health were inadvertently omitted in the Technical Working Group on the social services sector; WHEREAS, the implementation of the 1991 Local Government Code (LGC) not only provided for autonomy to Local Government Units (LGUs) but also altered the data generation and reporting systems of the health, environment and social services sectors; WHEREAS, the Department of the Interior and Local Government is the agency which assists the President in the supervision of local government units; NOW THEREFORE, on motion duly seconded, be it: RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, the Department of the Interior and Local Government be included as member of the technical working group on health, environment and social services sectors; RESOLVED FURTHER, that the Department of Health be included in the technical working group on the health sector and the abbreviation of the Department of Social Welfare and Development as found in RSCC Resolution No. 01-98 be rectified as DSWD; RESOLVED FINALLY, that copies of this resolution be provided to the concerned agencies for their information and appropriate action. APPROVED, this 28th day of July 1998 at the National Economic and Development Authority, Arimbay, Legazpi City.
