WHEREAS, Executive Order No. 352 designates statistical activities that will generate critical data for decision-making for the government and the private sector;

WHEREAS, the Bureau of Agricultural Statistics (BAS), as the Department of Agriculture’s (DA) principal agency for the collection, compilation and dissemination of both primary and secondary data and information in agriculture, recognizes the necessity of being responsive to the data needs of its clienteles;

WHEREAS, there is a need to hasten the development planning and program implementation to boost the growth and development of the livestock and poultry industry in the region,

WHEREAS, there is a need to create an Inter-Agency Committee (IAC) on Livestock and Poultry whose major task among others is to establish and enhance the regional information and statistical database and data access and data exchange system among members of the IAC and other stakeholders in Region V;

NOW THEREFORE, on motion duly seconded, be it:

RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Inter-Agency Committee (IAC) on Livestock and Poultry;

RESOLVED FURTHER, that the IAC shall be composed of the Regional Executive Director of Department of Agriculture as Chairman, BAS Regional Agriculture Statistics Officer as Co–Chairman , DA Regional Field Unit (RFU) 5 Planning Division and BAS Regional Operations Center V as Secretariat and the following as members: Provincial or City Veterinarians, Provincial Agriculture Officer, Regional Quarantine Officers, DA RFU 5 Planning Officer, RFU 5 Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Division (AMAD), BAS Provincial Agricultural Statistics Officers, National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB), National Statistics Office (NSO), National Meat Inspection Service (NMIS) and National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA).

RESOLVED FINALLY, that copies of this resolution be furnished all concerned for their information and appropriate action;
