Regional Statistical Coordination Committee held on May 31, 2000 at the
National Economic and Development Authority, Arimbay, Legazpi City

 

RESOLUTION NO. 01-2000

APPROVING THE TRAINING PROGRAM FOR 2000-2004
 FOR IMPLEMENTATION

          WHEREAS, Executive Order No. 121 issued on January 30, 1987 created the National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB) as the highest policy-making and coordinating body on statistical matters;

          WHEREAS, the decentralization thrust of the government entails greater autonomy given to local government units in implementing programs and projects;
  

          WHEREAS, the proper use of statistics is one way of enhancing the planning and decision-making capability of the LGUs;

          WHEREAS, the NSCB is mandated to establish appropriate mechanisms for statistical coordination at the regional, provincial and city levels to address statistical concerns obtaining these areas;

          NOW THEREFORE, on motion duly seconded, be it

          RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Regional Statistical Coordination Committee adopts the attached Training Program for 2000-2004 for implementation by the Committee;

          RESOLVED FINALLY, that copies of this resolution be furnished to all concerned for their compliance;

          APPROVED, this 31st day of May 2000 at the National Economic and Development Authority, Arimbay, Legazpi City.
