This presents the results of the Poverty Mapping project of the National Statistical Coordination Board, Regional Division V covering the province of CAMARINES NORTE in Bicol region for the years 2003 and 2005.

The Poverty Mapping project was implemented by NSCB in Region V to the 6 provinces of Bicol Region to serve the needs of local planners and policy makers in their poverty alleviation programs. The poverty maps serve as very useful tools to local government units as well as local chief executives particularly in identifying priority areas that should benefit from anti-poverty programs and interventions. Poverty maps were generated based on Minimum Basic Needs (MBN) indicators of the three dimensions of well-being using GIS technology.
