Where To Go And What To See

Sorsogon offers tourists many interesting natural and man-made places to see and explore.

RIZAL BEACH     Located in Gubat, close to the turbulent San Bernardino Strait.  Rizal Beach is long and sandy. An ideal place for boating, swimming and beachcombing.

BULUSAN VOLCANO     Towering at 5,077 feet above sea level, Bulusan Volcano is like a crawling giant in the middle of a forest land which has been declared as the province's National Park. Hundreds of different kinds of trees, species of shrubs, vines, giant ferns, rare orchids and other forms of flowers grow and adorn the slopes of this enchanting volcano.

BULUSAN LAKE    Bulusan Lake lies at the heart of the National Park which covers an area of 3,672 hectares. The serene and cool lake has a circumference of 2,006 meters at an elevation of 2,084 feet above sea level with a geological age of about 374 years.

MASACROT SPRING   A man-made pool with bubbling, cool and clear natural water. Cottages are available at affordable rates.

BATO LIMESTONE CAVE OF BACON     Privately owned, it is about 100 meters away from the junction along the Sawang Bacon road. Many ancient artifacts were unearthed by a group of archeological team in 1956 inside this cave.

TULONG-GAPO BEACH OF BACON     Literally it means three stones. Naturally formed, it is in triangular position in the sea by the shores of Caricaran. Visiting travellers enjoy picking various kinds of seashells and corals washed out in the seashore.

NAMUAT WATERFALLS OF CASIGURAN     One of its kind in Casiguran, Sorsogon. It is surrounded by different flower plants. An inspiring view for visiting travellers.

BULUS SPRING OF IROSIN     The water is clear and cool. It springs out from obscure fissures on the surface of the coolest and clearest water ever found in the region.

MAPASO SPRING OF IROSIN     Mapaso means hot. Believed to have curative effects, it is also noted for its beautiful sceneries. The falling water on one side emits thin smoke. An open space of water is the bathing area.

SOMBRERO ISLAND     It is surrounded by clean white sand and hook and line fishing can be engaged because fish is plentiful.
