Ligao has a special charm all to itself with a blend of relaxed atmosphere and a scenic view that soothes the tired body, mesmerizes the mind and delights the soul.

Sunset at Malison Lake, Ligao CityThe Malison Lake at Barangays Pandan and Bonga, is an idyllic place where you can go swimming with the majestic view of the peak of Mayon Volcano in the background. This resort is 3.5 kilometers away from the poblacion. It offers a spacious parking lot with facilities. Aside from swimming, one can go fishing and boating at the lake. It has 16 cottages, 4 lodging rooms, a large function room and videoke service.

Other areas identified as recreation and tourist destinations are Rendezvous St. Stephen Protomartyr Church, Ligao CitySpring Resort, located at Barangay Herrera, Kawakawa Hills at Barangay Paulog, Mabigao Lake and underground caves at Barangays Allang and Tula-Tula Pequeño, Bolinao Falls at Barangay Ranao-Ranao, Mount Masaraga and Busay Lake at Barangay Busay and Asistio Spring at Barangay Basag. St. Stephen Protomartyr Church (Pilgrim Church) is also frequented both by local and foreign tourists.

For the adventurous and the nature lovers, the mystical twin peaks of Mt. Mayon and Mount Masaraga offer an exhilarating experience for mountain climbing and trekking and the thrill of scaling great heights and descending in deep and steep mountain ravines.

For the pool lovers, Cabrera Resort at Barangay Bay and Divinaflor Hidden Spring Resort at Barangay Herrera where you can savor the cold water of a natural spring, are just a few places to visit.

Ligao City is also one of the gateways to the Mayon National Park where the majestic Mayon Volcano is nestled. Local and foreign tourists who visit Mayon Allang Falls, Ligao CityVolcano spill over to the city which itself is endowed with natural scenery that nature lovers find interesting. It has natural springs, caves, hills, lakes and a good panoramic view of Mayon Volcano.

The unspoiled beaches along the coastal barangays of Catburawan, Cabarian and Maonon offer an alternative to the highly commercialized beaches of Boracay and Palawan. These areas offer business opportunities for possible investors and entrepreneurs for further development.

All these places are accessible by all types of vehicles from the city center because all barangays have all-weather concrete roads. There are many types of vehicles that can be hired to go to these places from vans to tricycles and even motorcycles.
