Very little is known about Caramoan. Isolated from the rest of Camarines Sur, it is no surprise why Philippines' Secret Paradise remains unexploited from commercial tourism. After the place has been featured in the news and local television programs, local and foreign travelers started to explore the beaches of the peninsula, gaining tourism popularity in recent years. The 8th season of Koh-Lanta (French edition of Survivor), was shot entirely in Caramoan.

The Caramoan Islands is one of the Philippines’ hidden paradises. Resting at the scenic Caramoan Peninsula, Bicol Region, the Caramoan Islands enjoy nature’s blessings of pristine white beaches, ancient caves, breathtaking scuba diving spots and overwhelming land masses. It is one of the National Parks of the Philippines.

GETTING THERE

To get to Caramoan from Manila, one may either take a 1-hour plane ride or a 9-hour bus ride to Naga City (377 km South of Manila). You will pass through the provinces of Laguna, Batangas, Quezon and Camarines Norte.

Port of GuijaloThen from Naga City it will take another shuttle bus ride to Sabang. It will take approximately 2 hours to Sabang. This is where the Caramoan-Naga port (San Francisco Church) where you will embark on a boat ride to Caramoan. Departing schedule to Caramoan starts at 12 PM in the afternoon until 1 AM in the morning. Port of Guijalo is your entry point to the town. From this point you'll find some trimobiles or jeepneys enroute to the town proper, which is a 20 min of sensational ride! A trip via rough road is also passable, mostly in the summer time and a 4x4 vehicle is highly recommended. But taking a fun boat rides also open doors of your curiosity in to the enchanting moment of adventure. The boat ride normally takes 2 hours. But as soon as you hit the waters of Caramoan, you will get refreshed, relaxed and enjoy this secret paradise. It is really an adventure fulfilled. From the port in Caramoan, you may take local transportation to your chosen accommodation, inn or hotel.

ACCOMMODATION

One of the popular resorts in Caramoan is the Gota Village Resort. Rex Tourist Inn

As its name implies, Gota is located in a small cove situated in the northwest portion of the resort area. It has two beaches along the coast and are separated by a small limestone hill. The Gota east side beach has an approximate area of 5,000 square meters. On the west side of the hill is called the Gota west beach which has an approximate area of 4,000 square meters. One can certainly enjoy the fine to medium, brownish gray sand from the erosion of the sandstones.

Rates for Regular room/Executive room: Ranging from Php500.00 to 2,500.00

Roa Pension House – Located in Sirangan St., Barangay Tawog
Rates for air-conditioned room rates: Ranging from Php1,000.00 to 1,400.00

There are other Bed and Breakfast type accommodations (Pinoy Style)

Imelda Versoza Residence – Located in Centro, Caramoan – fully furnished Country style, cozy and well maintained. Beddings, water, air-conditioned rooms, spacious living room, and foods are available upon request. Two big aircon rooms are available for rent, rates starts from Php500.00

David Plopinio Residence – Located in Centro, Caramoan – It is a fully furnished, three storey concrete house. Beddings, water, air-conditioned rooms, spacious living room, veranda, food / meals can be ordered / served. With two spacious air-conditioned rooms with separate toilet and bathroom. Rates are starting from Php500.00
