Province of Masbate
Where To Go And What To See

DACU BEACH     A favorite site for picnic during weekends. Located in Mobo town. It is a 15-minute ride from the capital town of Masbate.

AROROY BEACH     A fast-becoming attraction among excursionists. Its unspoiled natural beauty is the dominant feature.

UBO FALLS     Locally it is known as the Little Pagsanjan Falls. Situated in Mobo.

BATOGAN CAVE     A kilometer and half away from the national road. It has three openings. One is at the base which is very wide. Another opening is at the center and the last is found at the top of the cave.

TAGORAN WATERFALLS     Located along the sea. Found in the Barrio of Tagoron, Monreal, Masbate. Cascading at the height of 60 feet, it's a beautiful attraction.

MATANGTUBIG SPRING     A unique spring with three sources. The spring comes out of a rock. Trees and lush vegetation give shade in the area around the spring.

TALISAY BEACH     A booming resort in the town of Ticao. Famous for its rocks which serve as diving board for swimmers.

CATANDAYAGAN FALLS     One of the most beautiful falls in the province. Its feature is its single-tiered shape. Around the falls, lush vegetation abundantly grows.

BONTOD BEACH     A coral island southwest of Masbate town, noted for its immaculate white sand. Its beautiful surrounding water teems with exotic coral reefs. It is ideal for snorkeling and scuba diving.

DEAGAN ISLAND     A scenic island of Palanas coast noted for its beautiful beaches and colorful fishes.

CAGPATING ISLAND     It is noted for its crystal clear waters and beautiful pebbles on one side and a deep rocky side that provides a panoramic view of the Masbate mainland.

PUTING ISLAND     Situated in Claveria, it is famous for its wide beach and white sands.

 
EVENTS AND FESTIVALS

RODEO FILIPINO     Every May, the country's local Rodeo Filipinocowboys flock to the capital town of Masbate to display their power over untamed cattles during this festival. In this international fair, the arena burst with fun and excitement and shouting.

CORN FESTIVAL     A harvest festival among Moncadistas in San Ramon, Uson. Famous for people dancing on the glowing embers. The celebration is a ritual for thanksgiving after the plentiful corn harvest.

BANTIGUE FESTIVAL     A festival among the Bantigue folk, right across the Masbate town proper. The barangay is famous for its deeply preserved traditional folk dance called the "Bantigue Dance." Bantigue is famous for its boatmakers.
