Where To Go And What To See

AGUIRANGAN ISLAND     At Presentacion, 30 minutes away by motorized banca or half if modern seacrafts are used. Its white beach of fine powdered corals is a favorite excursion site. About 1.5 has. and surrounded by beautiful coral formations. Scuba diving and snorkeling are possible.

LAHUY ISLAND     At Bgy. Gata, a ten km. long island, about 3 kms. at its widest point. A gold-mining community before the war. Today, only a small operation exists. At sitio Nipa, a rare spring 300 meters away from the shoreline provides the water source. Discover the 40 hectare mangrove swamp near Bgy. Oring, a habitat of marine wildlife.

Plaza Quince MartirezGOTA BEACH     It's a cluster of many attractions. Two caves, Little Gota and Big Gota at Caramoan National Park. About 5 kms. away in Bgy. Paniman, a group of limestone islets called Malarad Island Group can be found. Enjoy on the wide stretch of white beach, frolic at the salt water lake and discover its wildlife.

SABANG BEACH     About 5 kms. from poblacion, it's easily reached by jeepneys or other passenger vehicles. Sabang has 2 resorts; Sabang Beach and Peñafrancia Resort, both offering complete amenities - cottages with water facilities, secured parking areas, food services and shopping stores. Twenty meters across the gate stands a perfectly preserved ancient Moro Watchtower.

ADIANGAO CAVES     In Bgy. Adiangao, only 300 meters away from the provincial road close to the shoreline. The cave entrance is 150 feet above sea level. Stalactites and stalagmites adorn the tall ceilings and floors of the cave. Dripstone formations like icicles, suspended waterfalls, pie crust chocolate drops are other marvels to see. It has three doors and about 300 meters.

CONSOCEP MOUNTAIN RESORT     Nestling on the shoulders of Mt. Isarog at 1,800 feet above sea level. Cool mountain air, refreshing Tumaguiti and Bulalakao waterfalls, and other smaller ones, tree house, viewing parks, gardened pathways await the excursionists. Best known and popular of these waterfalls is Kawa-Kawa, a man-made swimming pool, two to four feet deep, can be found at the foot where the water drops.

KULAPNITAN CAVES     In Libmanan, it contains countless stalactites, stalagmites and massive pillars of extremely delicate designs and formations. Millions of bats emerge wildly from these caves, a rare spectacle but not fearsome.

ATULAYAN ISLAND     If  you want to add rare shells and stones to your collection or keep souvenirs, come to this cinema-like paradise. It will ease your troubled heart for the tiny ivory-beach island is an awesome place to enjoy bathing. In Sangay, it was once the set of a French-Italian movie titled Mutiny in the South Seas.

DARUANAK ISLAND     About 15 minutes away by boat ride from Pasacao town, this rock island is ideal for skiing. Its carpet of calm water is home to a host of sea anemones, star fishes, sea urchins and many other marine life. They are a sure wonder to see.
