RSCC XII holds first regular meeting for CY 2011

The Regional Statistical Coordination Committee (RSCC) XII held its first regular meeting for CY 2011 last March 30, 2011 at Villa Princessita, Jabido Compound in Koronadal City.

RSCC XII Q1 2011 Meeting

The meeting was presided by RSCC XII Co-Chairperson and NSO XII Regional Director Atty. Maqtahar L. Manulon. In attendance were 25 representatives from member agencies and local government units. Included in the agenda were the following:

a) 2012 Planning and Budgetary Thrusts; 
b) 2010 RSCC-XII Accomplishment Report;
c) 2011 RSCC-XII Work Program;
d) LSCC/LGU 20101 Accomplishment Reports 2011 Work Programs;
e) Statistical Training for Region XII;
f) General Santos City Socio-Economic and Health Census;
g) 2009 Official Poverty Statistics;
h) 2009 FLEMMS Results;
i) Results of the 2009 Survey on Overseas Filipinos; and,
j) 2010 Results of the 2010 Food Consumption Survey.

Dir. Gervacio G. Selda, Jr., the Executive Director of the Statistical Research and Training Center (SRTC) was also present during the meeting. Dir. Selda discussed and finalized with Dir. Norma T. Gomez, the Executive Director of NDU Research Center, the plans for the conduct of a statistical training in Region XII. As Agreed, the training will be held on May 23-27, 2011 at the Notre Dame University in Cotabato City. NDU is the training affiliate of SRTC for the conduct of statistical trainings in Region XII.

Also in attendance were the consultants from HealthGov headed by Dr. Alejandro Herrin. The City Government of General Santos is working with HealthGov for the conduct of a citywide census which would aid the local government unit in their target setting to ensure effective service delivery and budgeting.

Before the meeting adjourned, the Co-Chair awarded Certificates of Appreciation to the LGU-Sultan Kudarat and LGU-South Cotabato for hosting the meetings in 2010. certifiates of Recognition were also awarded to member agencies which registered 100 percent attendance to RSCC meetings during CY 2010.
