Historical:

A. Fort Pikit

     An old Spanish Fort in Mindanao.

Natural:

Mountain climbers at the peak of Mt. Apo A. Mount Apo

     Declared by the Philippine Government as a National Park due to its size, height and wildlife. Mt. Apo, Philippines' highest at 10,311 feet above sea level, the mightiest surge of a long mountain range extending from Cotabato, Davao del Sur and Davao City to Agusan and Misamis Oriental in Northern Mindanao. The volcanic peak Apo, meaning "Grandfather of all Philippine Mountains" dominates a vast area of 72,796 hectares where natural wonders lure outdoor enthusiasts to trek through this tribal god's domain and conquer its towering peak.

B. New Israel

     This barangay of Makilala is well known for its numerous monkeys. This mountain village is home to a religious sect - the Moncadista. The place is famous for tamed monkeys.

C. Flortan Hot Spring

     A major tourist attraction and dubbed as "Fountain of Youth" because of its healing power thus popular among old folks who have arthritis and rheumatism. It has become a week-end recreational as well as medical center.

Le Reve Resort A. Le Reve Resort

     An inland resort equipped with cottages, a restaurant, three swimming pools with free flowing cold spring waters from the foot of Mt. Apo.

Sports Activities:

A. Mount Apo Biking Challenge

     The race is a hill climb from downtown of Kidapawan to Lake Agko with a distance of 22 kilometers passing through the PNOC road network. The all weather gravel road passes through many natural attractions of the mountain such as: Agko Blue Lake at 1,200 meters above sea level; PNOC Geothermal Well G (Site G); and Site H at 2,480 meters which is on the level of Lake Venado campsite. To reach the summit is a great challenge since it takes six hours by foot from Site H to the peak. There are certain potions where a biker has to carry his bike. To go beyond Site H, one has to stay overnight at this level to allow more time for the trek up.

B. Mountain Trekking

     Trek to the Philippines' peak, Mt. Apo at 10,311 feet above sea level. Starting from the first camp at blue Lake Agko, trekkers will see along the way an exotic display of nature at its best-lush tropical forest dotted with hot and cold springs; the crystal clear and the boiling blue mountain lakes; hidden waterfalls cascading with thunderous roar; sulfur craters; orchids and wild flowers; monkey eating eagles; the soul-refreshing symphonies of cicadas and God's littlest creatures, and all truly an exceptional display of nature in its primeval state.
