Press Release: In line with our commitment to provide relevant and more disaggregated statistics at the local level, the National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB) Regional Division XII has come up with the Second Edition of The Countryside in Figures: Sarangani. This second edition provides provincial data and municipal disaggregation of statistics from various sectors, such as general information, governance; family income and expenditures, agriculture, health, nutrition statistics, education, labor and employment, fiscal administration, public order and safety. Further, this publication contains indicators comparing the performance of Sarangani Province with those of the other provinces and cities in Region XII, as well as rankings of the seven municipalities of the province based on their socio-economic performance. Sectoral highlights are also included to guide our data users in their analysis. We hope that this publication will provide relevant and timely information about the province and serve the need for more comprehensive statistics useful in planning and policy setting towards effective governance and public service at the local level. Through this publication, we hope to contribute to countryside development. The NSCB acknowledges the assistance of the Provincial Government of Sarangani, through the Provincial Planning and Development Office, for their invaluable support in the data collection efforts.
