The 2009 Countryside in Figures: South Cotabato, Second Edition is now available for subscription

In line with our commitment to provide relevant and more disaggregated statistics at the local level, the National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB), through the Regional Division (RD) 12, has come up with the Second Edition of The Countryside in Figures: South Cotabato.

This second edition provides provincial data and municipal disaggregation of statistics from various sectors, such as general information, governance; family income and expenditures, agriculture, health, nutrition statistics, education, labor and employment, fiscal administration, public order and safety. Further, this publication contains indicators comparing the performance of South Cotabato with those of the other three provinces and five cities in Region XII, as well as rankings of the ten municipalities and the component city of the province based on their socio-economic performance. Sectoral highlights are also included to guide our data users in their analysis.

We hope that this publication will provide relevant and timely information about the province and serve the need for more comprehensive statistics useful in planning and policy setting towards effective governance and public service at the local level. Through The Countryside in Figures: South Cotabato we hope to contribute to countryside development.

The NSCB acknowledges the assistance of the Provincial Government of South Cotabato, through the Provincial Planning and Development Office, for their invaluable support in the data collection efforts. We are likewise grateful to the various data producing agencies at the regional and local levels for providing the data inputs to this publication.
