The NSCB has established the Regional
Statistical Coordination Committees (RSCCs) in all regions of the country in
accordance with the NSCB Resolution No. 1, Series of 1992.
The creation of the RSCCs was aimed at:
-
providing direction and guidance to
statistical development activities in the regions; and
-
to analyze, evaluate and recommend
improvements on statistics needed in responding to local concerns.
The RSCCs serve as the body for highest policy
making on statistical matters at the subnational level. They are likewise
tasked to resolve statistical issues inherent to the regions and coordinate
statistical activities at various levels. The NSCB Regional Units provide
the secretariat and technical support functions to the RSCCs.
In Region XI, the RSCC was organized on March
25, 1992 under the administrative supervision of the Regional Development
Council.
