Resolution No. 1 Series of 2001
APPROVING THE OUTPUT/RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE
TASK FORCE ON EDUCATION STATISTICS
WHEREAS, the Regional
Statistical Coordination Committee XI, by virtue of RSCC XI Resolution No.
2, Series of 1999, created the Task Force on Education Statistics to conduct
an inquiry on education statistics;
WHEREAS, the Task Force
on Education Statistics was established to assess the timeliness, accuracy,
consistency and reliability of education statistics in the region; to
identify the processes involved in improving the generation of education
statistics; and to recommend measures for institutionalization of improved
education statistics;
WHEREAS, the Task Force,
chaired by the NSCB, and with the support of DECS, CHED and TESDA was able
to identify the issues and problems affecting the education sector in the
region;
WHEREAS, the Task Force
on Education Statistics came up with a final report on its Findings and
Recommendations on Education Statistics in Region XI;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Findings and
Recommendations on Education Statistics in Region XI of the RSCC XI Task
Force on Education Statistics, as herein attached, be approved for
implementation by concerned agencies and institutions;
BE IT RESOLVED FURTHER,
that a copy of this Resolution and final report of the Task Force on
Education Statistics be redirected to DECS XI, CHED XI and TESDA XI.
