RSCC XI conducts First Quarter
Meeting, approves 4 Resolutions

The Regional Statistical
Coordination Committee (RSCC) XI held its first quarter meeting for this
year on April 26, 2007 at the
Mindanao Economic Development Council (MEDCo) Conference Room, Davao
City. The following were the agenda of the meeting: (1) Proposed
Statistical Policy Agenda for CY 2007; (2) Presentation of 2003-2004 Braulio
Dujali Poverty Maps; (3) Presentation of 2005-2006 Compostela Valley Poverty
Maps; (4) 2006 and 2007 Poverty Statistics; (5)
Officials Concepts and Definitions for Statistical Purposes for the Poverty
Sector; (6) Davao Region Statistical Yearbook; (7) 2007 Census of Populaiton; (8)
Support on the Sourcing of Data from the LGUs for the estimation of 2006
GRDP; and (9) Presentation of Good Governance Index and Announcement of the
10th NCS/18th NSM.
During this meeting, the RSCC XI
passed four Resolutions. These are the following: (1)
Approving the 2003 and 2004
Braulio Dujali Poverty Maps; (2)
Approving the 2005 and 2006
Compostela Valley Poverty Maps; (3)
Affirming the NSCB
Resolution No. 2, Series of 2007, Adopting the Official Concepts and
Definitions for Statistical Purposes for the Poverty Sector at the Local
Level; and (4)
Recommending to the RDC XI to Designate NSCB Regional Division 11 to Produce
the Annual Davao Region Statistical Yearbook beginning with the 2007 Issue
onwards with the Guidance and Direction of RSCC XI.
