NSCB XI Releases the 2003 and 2004 Poverty Maps of Braulio Dujali

The National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB) Regional Division XI has finished the poverty maps of the municipality of Braulio Dujali. The 2003 and 2004 poverty maps of Braulio Dujali were the first municipal level poverty maps in Davao Region. The poverty maps were approved during the regular meeting of the Regional Statistical Coordination Committee (RSCC) – XI held last April 26, 2007 at the Conference Room of Mindanao Economic Development Council (MEDCO).

The poverty maps of Braulio Dujali used the 33 indicators included in the Minimum Basic Needs survey. The indicators were the following: households with malnourished newborns, households with infants not breastfeed for at least 4 months, households with malnourished children below 5 years old, households with no access to potable water, households with no access to sanitary toilets, households with no compost pit, mothers with iron and iodine deficiency, pregnant mothers without 2 doses of tetanus toxoid, deliveries unattended by trained hilot, households with infant 0-1 not fully immunized, households with children not more than 5 years old with more than 1 diarrhea episode, deaths in the family )preventable disease), couples not practicing family planning, couples without access to family planning, solo parent without health care services, family members without basic clothing, households with house not owned, rented or shared, housing not durable for at least 5 years, crime against person, crime against property, households with unemployed head of the family, households with no 18 years old and above employed, households with income below threshold level, households with no backyard/ farm garden, households with no livestock raised, households with children 3-5 years old not in pre-school, households with children 5-12 years old not in elementary, households with children 13-16 years old not in high school, households with illiterate members 10 years and above, not member in people’s organization/association, households with member/s not able to vote at election, households with children below 7 years old left unattended, households with member/s not more than 18 years old in hazardous occupation, households affected by natural disaster, and households with incidence of domestic violence.
