RSCC XI Releases the 2006
Edition of the Davao Region Statistical Yearbook

Continuing the tradition of serving the
public, the Regional Statistical Coordination Committee (RSCC) of the
Regional Development Council XI takes pride in presenting the 2006 edition
of the Davao Region Statistical Yearbook (DRSY). In coming up with this 13th
edition of the DRSY, the RSCC maintains its goal of responding to the
demands of government planners, decision makers and executives, investors,
researchers and the general public for timely, relevant, accurate and useful
data and other information. It contains the data and information, which are
generated by government agencies in Region XI.
The DRSY provides recent and relevant
statistical information of Region XI on physical and demographic
characteristics, general economic performance, human development, economic
development, infrastructure development, development administration and
local government fiscal conditions. It also includes a chapter, which
contains data and information on Mindanao.
This publication is a project of the Southern
Mindanao Development Statistics Task Force, a sub-committee of the RSCC XI.
The task force is chaired by the National Statistical Coordination Board and
co-chaired by the National Statistics Office XI. The Task Force extends its
gratitude to all the sources of data for their cooperation and support in
providing the information included in this document.
