Did you know that…

Approved building permits in Region 10 posts a 63.6 percent growth?

         
Approved building permits in Region 10 reached 1,546 during the second quarter of 2004, representing an increase of 63.6 percent compared with 945 approved building permits recorded during the same period of 2003. These approved building permits relate to data on new constructions and additions, alterations and repairs of residential and nonresidential buildings and other structures undertaken in all regions or provinces of the country.

For residential building construction, the number of approved building permits went up by 53.6 percent to 900 from 586 during the same period of 2003. Those for non-residential building construction, showed a great increase by 124.3 percent to 157 from 70. Combined approved building permits for additions, alterations and repairs similarly exhibited an increase of 69.2 percent to 489 from 289.

Among the types of building, the non-residential building in 2004 boosted up to more than twice the number of buildings constructed in 2003. This type includes the commercial, industrial, agricultural and institutional buildings constructed in Region 10.
