The Regional Statistical
Coordination Committee (RSCC) I, the highest policy-making and coordinating
body on statistical matters in the region, approved 12 resolutions during its 2nd regular meeting on July 27, 2006. The resolutions approved were :
Resolution No. 4 –
Enjoining the City of San Fernando and the Province of La Union to Pilot the Implementation of the
Proposed Data Generation System for the Health Indicators to Resolve the Issue
on High Health Statistics in Cities;
Resolution No. 5 –
Endorsing Napolcom Form 24 as the Standard Data Reporting Form on Crimes in
Region 1;
Resolution No. 6 - Requesting the UNICEF to Reconfigure the Dev
Info Software to Enable the Generation of Provincial and City Maps;
Resolution No. 7 –
Enjoining Data Sources to Generate Sex-Disaggregated Data;
Resolution No. 8 –
Enjoining the Data Sources of Millennium Development Goals (MDG) Indicators to
Generate the Unavailable MDG Data;
Resolution No. 9 –
Enjoining the Data Sources of MDG Indicators at the Regional Level to Conduct
Validation and Consultation Activities with their Central Offices before the
Release of MDG Data;
Resolution No. 10 –
Enjoining All RSCC Member-Agencies to Provide Financial Support to the 2006
Search for Best National Statistics Month (NSM) Province and Activity;
Resolution No. 11 –
Requesting the National Statistics Office (NSO) to Collect Data from Major/Key
Establishments in the Region for the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP)
Estimation;
Resolution No. 12 –
Requesting the Bureau of Internal Revenue Regional Office 1 to Provide Data on Sales and Revenue of Major
Establishments in the Region for the Estimation of the GRDP;
Resolution No. 13 –
Requesting the Forestry Management Bureau (FMB) Central Office and Regional
Office 1 to Reconcile their Forestry Data Prior to its Official Release;
Resolution No. 14 – Requesting the Civil Service
Commission Regional Office 1 to Provide an Updated Inventory of Government
Personnel in Region 1 for the Estimation of the GRDP; and
Resolution No. 15 – Endorsing the Adoption of the
NSCB Approved Official Concepts and Definitions for Statistical Purposes for
the Health and Nutrition Sector to the Department of Health Regional Office 1
and Other Concerned Offices.
The RSCC approved three
resolutions during its 1st regular meeting which was held last April
17, 2006.
The second regular
meeting was sponsored by the NEDA Regional Office 1. It was held at the NEDA Regional Office 1 in San Fernando City,
La Union.
The Regional Division 1
of the National Statistical Coordination Board (NSCB) provides technical support and secretariat
services to the RSCC.
