RSCC 1 PASSESS RESOLUTIONS ADDRESSING DATA DEMANDS
The Regional
Statistical Coordination Committee (RSCC), the highest policy making and coordinating body on statistical matters in the region, passed resolutions during its first regular meeting on April 20, 2010 in Lingayen, Pangasinan to address the demand for data with lower level disaggregation.
The
resolutions passed were:
a) Resolution Reiterating to the NSO the Generation of Migration and Social Services Data and
b) Resolution Reiterating to the NSO the Generation of Employment Data with Provincial Disaggregation.
The committee also approved the RSCC Policy Agenda for CY 2010 during the meeting. The other agenda items discussed during the meeting were: a) Report on the RSCC Recommendations and Resolutions; b) 2009 Philippine Standard Industrial Classification (PSIC); c) The Dakar Declaration on Statistics Development; d) National Convention on Statistics (NCS); e) World Statistics Day (WSD); f) Q4 Regional Economic Situationer; g) 2010 Agency Statistical Calendar; h) Philippine Statistical Development Program (PSDP); i) 2010 Census of Population and Housing (CPH); j) Revision ang Rebasing of the PSNA/GRDP; and k) Sharing of Pangasinan's strategies in celebrating the NSM.
The meeting was attended by RSCC members from six Regional Line Agencies, five from Local Government Units, and two from the Academe. The Provincial Government of Pangasinan, thru the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO), sponsored the meeting..
The next RSCC meeting is tentatively scheduled on June 16, 2010 at NEDA Regional Office 1 in San Fernando City, La Union.
