RSCC I APPROVES TEN RESOLUTIONS DURING ITS FIRST REGULAR MEETING
The Regional Statistical Coordination Committee (RSCC) I, the
highest policy-making and coordinating body on statistical matters in the
region, approved 10 resolutions during
its 1st regular meeting on April 26, 2007. The resolutions approved were:
1) Resolution No. 1. “Requesting
the Regional Development Council to Endorse to the NSCB Board for the Latter to
Request the BSP to Generate Regional and Provincial Data on Remittances of
Overseas Filipino Workers; 2) Resolution No. 2, “Requesting the Regional Development Council to Endorse to the
NSCB Board for the Latter to Request the NSO to Generate Provincial Data on Remittances of Overseas
Filipino Workers;”
Resolution No. 3, “Approving the Project
Proposal, Work Plan and MOA to Pilot the Implementation of the Proposed Data
Generation System for Health Indicators in the City of San Fernando and
Province of La Union;” 4) Resolution
No. 4, “Approving the 2007 RSCC I Policy Agenda;: 5) RSCC Resolution No. 5,
“Endorsing the Use of the Internationally-based Targets for the Millennium
Development Goals (MDGs) of Region 1 for Benchmarking Purposes;” 6) Resolution
No. 6, “Approving Additional Indicators for the Monitoring of MDGs in Region
1;” 7) Resolution No. 7, “Endorsing the Adoption of the Statistical Programs,
Projects and Activities Under the Subnational Statistical Systems Section of
the 2005-2010 Philippine Statistical Development Program to Concerned Offices;”
) Resolution No. 8, “ Endorsing the Adoption of the NSCB Approved Official
Concepts and Definitions for the Poverty Sector;” 9) Resolution No. 9, “Endorsing the Adoption of the NSCB Approved
Official Concepts and Definitions for
Statistical Purposes for the Education Sector;” and 10) Resolution No. 10, “Endorsing the Adoption of the NSCB
Approved Six Formulas on the Official Concepts and Definitions for Statistical
Purposed for the Education Sector.”
The meeting was
attended by 16 RSCC members/representatives from eight line agencies, seven
local government units and one non-government organization.
